Reconnect & Recharge Micro Retreat | September 2022, The Netherlands

Reconnect & Recharge Micro Retreat

Terschelling, The Netherlands,

The Reconnection Retreat retreat is our shortest and simplest invitation. So far we have hosted them in the UK in woods between London and Bristol. This is the first year we have taken the experience to a beautiful island of Terschelling in The Netherlands.

As John Muir said - make time every now again to let nature wash your spirit clean. It’s all about that - connecting lightly with Bio-Leadership stories, friends and allies, and taking good things back to life and work. All doable by arriving Friday late afternoon, then getting going on Sunday late afternoon.

‘If we listen to nature in a particular way, then a new form of knowledge emerges’.

We believe that the world needs new qualities to navigate this moment in time. To build resilience, connection, awareness, adaptability and care, we need to practice it ourselves. This is an opportunity to do just that. A short break that lasts under 2.5 days, but feels like a deep well of rejuvenation that stretches time and nourishes the spirit. This is for folks who need to reconnect with themselves and their leadership journey, guided gently with nature - it is the ideal start for anyone considering a longer nature quest.

What to Expect:

We offer very little content, instead putting emphasis on the ‘being’ side of our work. We will go on walks, we offer practices to support light awareness and rest, and at the heart of the experience is an overnight ‘solo’ - time alone in a profoundly supportive way. With this solo you have the unique opportunity to sleep truly outside - without a tent - in the beautiful dunes of west Terschelling.

It will be a journey into the senses, the seasons, and the questions we hold about change and transition, supported by the island. At the heart of the journey will be a practice of going on a ‘solo’ journey in the forest, with each person invited to camp out alone for the night. We will sleep Friday on the campside from State Forestry and on Saturday out in the dunes. We are very excited that we will experience such a beautiful setting in such an intimate way.

The team will provide all meals and guidance over the reconnection retreat, but we ask that you bring everything you need to camp comfortably overnight. We invite you to consider this a special form of ceremony for your work and your own leadership story - a chance to step back from the busyness of life to reconnect more deeply with nature and the principles of life. This guide will share the practicalities of flow, directions, equipment and encouragement to take the step into this short retreat consciously.
